There
have been no litters produced and there are no plans
for any upcoming litters. If you are interested in a
puppy, we would be more than happy to put you in contact
with responsible, honest breeders who will do best by
their puppies.
Truly
responsible breeders do their best to ensure to healthy,
well adjusted puppies. Responsible breeders are active
within the breed; a responsible breeder should be active
in the conformation ring to demonstrate their dogs are
of correct breed type and structural quality.
There
should be NO split between conformation quality dogs
and performance/working dogs within Belgian Tervuren
or Italian Greyhounds. These should be versatile breeds,
capable of looking good while doing a job, be it agility,
herding, or simply taking a nap on the couch.
Temperament
and health are of equal importance. I would hate to
have an unhealthy dog with a wonderful temperament just
as much as I would hate to have a healthy dog who was
unstable. Physical and mental health are
critical.
When you do your research, please verify a dog's health
certifications at the OFA
and CERF
databases. A regular vet cannot give a clean bill of
"health" -- only a panel of OFA veterinarians
and DAVCO opthamologists are capable of determining
these factors.
Buyer
beware: a CHIC number does not mean the dog
has passed all of the necessary health tests A CHIC
number means the dog had those tests done, and received
a rating (i.e. diagnosis) for those tests. Do your research.
